The North Metro REALTORS® Association has taken official policy positions on a number of regional issues.  Below you will find written policy statements on issues that affect the real estate industry.

Regional Growth
REALTORS®, as involved citizens with numerous stakes in viable regional development, play a major role in the creation of policy and development plans in their communities. 

Regional Transportation
Transportation is a key element to building and sustaining communities.  The North Metro REALTORS® Association has a history of involvement with policy and legislation that affect transportation and transit development in our region.

Northern Lights Stadium Development
The North Metro REALTORS® Association has long supported a variety of economic development opportunities in our area.  Retail and business development are key elements of a thriving community. To that end, we have chosen to support the construction of a football stadium and event center in the City of Blaine, MN.  The Minnesota Vikings football team has pledged to work with county and city officials, as well as with area residents and business owners, to create a retail and entertainment destination at the Preserve at Rice Creek.  This project will create thousands of new jobs, generate millions of dollars in tax revenue and provide tremendous economic activity in Anoka County. 

The NMRA Board voted on April 19, 2006 to take a position of support for the passage of three stadium projects as a whole at the state legislature (including the University of Minnesota, Minnesota Twins, and Minnesota Vikings stadiums at various sites).
