

Benefits Received From Dues Dollars You have made a wise investment in your future by joining the North Metro REALTORS® Association. For just $1.10 cents per day, you are entitled to a broad range of services offered by North Metro REALTORSÒ Association, the Minnesota Association and the National Association of REALTORS®. By becoming a REALTOR®, you have distinguished yourself from other real estate agents. Only members of the association may use the trademarked term “REALTOR®.” Size and Strength - You belong to the world’s largest trade association. The National Association of REALTORS® is 1.2 million members strong. The Minnesota Association of REALTORS®, with over 19,000 members, is the 21st largest state association within NAR. The North Metro REALTORSÒ Association is the fourth largest association in Minnesota. Business Opportunities - The association provides many opportunities to expand your business contacts and network with your peers and with affiliate members. Your association keeps you informed of current trends and developments in your industry. Image - Through many community service programs we demonstrate the concern that REALTORS® have for their community. Press releases, special articles about association activities, and other public relations projects emphasize the distinction between REALTORS® and other agents. Regional Multiple Listing Service - When you join the RMLS, your listings are exposed to over 25,000 REALTORS® throughout the metropolitan area and Greater Minnesota. The service is a means by which a REALTOR® makes blanket unilateral offers of compensation to other participants. Our regional system is one of the biggest and best in the entire industry.
Government Affairs - The North Metro REALTORS® Association is committed to the strength of the real estate industry and the protection of private property rights. The Public Policy Department represents your business interests at all levels of government by monitoring legislative action and building and maintaining relationships with elected officials and their staff. NMRA supports candidates who stand up for your rights and promote your industry's policies and positions. Public Policy positions are formed by the Government Affairs Committee, which is open for participation by any interested Association member.
Ethics/Arbitration - If you should become involved in a dispute with another member, your association provides support and assistance through the Minnesota Association of REALTORS®. This service is less costly and less time consuming than court proceedings - and your case is heard by a panel of your peers.
Continuing Education - Your association provides quality continuing education classes at the lowest possible cost, at a conveniently close venue, and during convenient times. Members may select the education option on their dues billing and pay just $55 for 15 hours of continuing education* or pay $10 per credit hour at the time you attend a class.
Education classes are also offered during the Association’s General Membership Breakfast Meetings that are held throughout the year. General Membership Meetings are not included in your education fee.
Association Board Store - Standardized forms, map books, signs, high light stands, brochures boxes, closing gifts and many items to numerous to mention are available at the lowest possible cost.
Communications - Your association communicates important information through its own newsletter, a weekly broadcast email and their website. The North Metro website, www.northmetro.com, offers several statistical reports to make sure you have the best and most current date at your fingertips.
Social/Networking Activities - As a member you are invited to participate in many events such as; the Toys for Joy golf tournament, Association Inaugural Event, membership breakfasts, blood drives, Habitat for Humanity projects and much more.
